Huntingdon Hotel and Suites

Beautiful little hotel, excellent breakfast

Liked: Breakfast was excellent, plentiful of choices and quality. Love the beautiful period exterior of the property. Friendly staff particularly the most helpful and pleasant Leigh who gave many local insights and always around to help.
Disliked: Not many places to sit at the lobby after checkout but before our departure cruise.

Nice location and nice room...

Liked: Breakfast was good. For $10 extra you can have breakfast in the Pendray next door, a nice semi private experience and well worth it. Location on the harbour is excellent. Corner room 242 at end hallway was great, except for noisy people upstairs. Room could use a few additional amenities. Nice front desk staff.
Disliked: Paying for parking. No dress mirror in room. Bonkers upstairs keeping us awake. Puny toilet. No tumbler/beer glasses. Restricted harbour view.

Disappointing and disrupted.

Liked: Location is excellent
Disliked: Manager is horrible. They changed the bike lock up code without notification and my bikes were inaccessible for a whole day! Tried to get new code and my time was wasted by the front desk that did not have the correct code. They never did contact me with the code I had to chase them down the next day! I will never stay there again!

Disliked: The building is too old. Prepare yourself to see centipede in the bathroom!

It was a nice relaxing...

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Very good location for walking to most places of interest. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Would have been nice to have a pool and hot tub.

Very good

Liked: Good location 10 10-minute walk to everything. I liked the room, but found it sparse.
Disliked: Few accessible plugs to power up devices. No USB or C ports.

Exceptional

Liked: Huntingdon is my choice to stay when visiting family on the island. Walkable to anything you want to do downtown and in James Bay. Love the Afternoon coffee bar and the ability to sit inside or outside for some downtime and the staff truly treat you like the extended family. Looking forward to my next stay!
