Liked: Lovely cosy quirky property. Nice gardens and good breakfast.

High hopes but overall disappointing

Liked: We liked the mood, the ambience, the dramatic styling of the place, and the food. We didn't eat there in the evening but the breakfast was very good. Access to the garden was a lovely bonus.
Disliked: Sadly, for a family of five, our room location did not provide a decent night's sleep. We liked the extravagant room decoration, but the noise from the traffic and the light from outside ensured that some of us didn't sleep well. The window had an extra insulating window over it, but it wasn't that effective. The main double bed wasn't that comfy either as we could feel the bed springs beneath us.

Loved my stay, gardens were...

Liked: Great place, very sweet room, loved the atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing ! The herb garden is a must to walk around, I was delighted by the sound of the dawn chorus on waking . The bed was comfortable .
Disliked: I’d have liked a choice of hot chocolate in my room for a bedtime drink. The show pillows on the bed needed to be freshened.
