Disliked: The photos portraying the family room when booking is nothing like what it was in real life. If recent photos were attached I definitely wouldn't of booked this room. The condition and cleanliness of the room was not too a high standard, the furnishings old and unsafe, curtains and blinds moldy and dusty. The bathroom was disgusting reaking of urine and the toilet seat not even in proper working order. The bedding was dirty with visible animal fur and hair, this room was a nightmare with asthmatic children. It was so disheartening to be presented with this room that was completely falsely advertised at the end of a very long day it was horrible.

Disliked: We weren’t able to stay at this accommodation.We booked it around lunch time the day we were supposed to check in. Arrived at the accommodation around 19:00ish, no one was there to check us in. Apparently the key was supposed to be available in an envelope but no key was there. We were told the person in charge would be back in few hours. We came back but still no one was available to check us in. We ended up booking another hotel. We called and messaged the number given- no response. Not even a single apology. I am yet to receive a refund which is almost after one month. I have never experienced something in my life. So disappointing.

Liked: I enjoyed the share environment in a backpackers regardless. The rooms with ensuite are handy.Hot showers are always appreciated.The fact we arrived later than check in close of was communicated and staff organized our rooming access by alternative means, very much appreciated.
Disliked: Bunk mattresses were a bit thin and uncomfortable.The kitchen messy, but easy to remedy, just shows you to be prepared for messy campers.It's 2024, NZ is in preparation environmental sustainability GET SOME RECYCLING BINS do your part to teach environmental sustainability to your guests when visiting Aotearoa
