Excellent location, delicious breakfast, and...
Liked: What a joy it was to stay at Hudson Manor. Located just north of downtown, it is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, as well as the main entrance to Watkins Glen Park and the famous Gorge Trail. Our hostess, Jenn, and her husband, Adam, have done a spectacular job renovating and updating the historic building. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a private bathroom, deck and view of the lake. The bed was large and comfortable and there was plenty of storage. Breakfast is communal, promptly at 8:30 am in the dining room, and Jenn did a fantastic job of fueling us for days of hiking and sightseeing. The food was delicious! There is also a small kitchen for guests to use to have coffee and tea throughout the day and a microwave to heat or reheat your own food. Jenn and Adam's daughter, Hannah, even stocks a small refrigerator where you can purchase water, soda, and snacks, which was greatly appreciated. Although the building is located right above the main road, the windows do a great job of filtering out the noise. Jenn is also a good source of information on various attractions and places to eat. Worth every penny! Would definitely stay there again.

Our stay was perfect! We...
Liked: The atmosphere was welcoming right from the start. Jen is an excellent host with many interests and great people skills. We also enjoyed meeting her husband and daughter. The breakfasts (and cookies) were delicious!
Disliked: I would add a grab bar to help guests get in and out of the shower.

Charming and comfortable

Excellent hotel with cozy rooms...
Liked: Gorgeous view of the lake and conveniently within walking distance of downtown. Breakfast was good--accommodated vegetarians.
Disliked: The only downside we experienced was that our room was off of the small kitchenette and we had people hanging out there drinking and talking at night, talking away our privacy. I'd recommend taking away seating so that people can still use but won't see this as a place to hang out.

Bed not so good breakfast...
Liked: The views were spectacular and the breakfast was outstanding.
Disliked: Traffic noise, outdated, linoleum on bathroom floor, mirror for bath on the side wall not over vanity, vinyl shower insert, wallpaper peeling and very poor lighting. Bed stated queen but it was full size. Bedding fit was poor. Stairs going up to the house were uneven and need repair. And displayed awards for the previous owners not themselves.

Great B&B with lovely view,...
Liked: We loved staying here. It was a short walk into town. We loved sitting in the comfy rocking chairs on the front porch with our coffee in the morning, with a lovely view of the lake. The kitchen facility was great for a quiet meal at the B&B. We enjoyed chatting with the owner and the other guests and learning about places to visit in the area. We are looking forward to coming back again.
