Hu Hotel Memphis

Stayed only one night (attended a concert), and was quite impressed. Friendly, helpful staff; top notch, speciality cocktails; mezzanine and roof top seating areas for lounging including a roof top bar with fantastic views of Memphis and the Mighty Mississippi. Impressive and delicious late night room service menu. Walking distance to most attractions, including Mud Island and Beale Street. Room and amenities far exceeded expectations (King Suite). Very nice iPod stereo. Flat screen TV integrated with iPod as well. Highly recommend, especially if it comes discounted, but still worth it at full price.

Disliked: No jug mugs for making tea/coffee were supplied in the room only available by staff making you a coffee and being charged for that.No enough shampoo body wash supplied in room we stayed 3 days tiny bottlesSmoke smell in room and corridor and cigarette burn hole in bed linen staff told regarding smoke smell nothing done about it No bin in the bathroom Breakfast cost $10 jug not plugged in for use to boil hot water for a cup of tea water dispenser empty No cream provided for waffles food was lukewarm bordering on cold Desk staff acknowledged us daily Breakfast person bit grumpy Wouldn't stay at the Hu Hotel again

Exceptional

Liked: Loved the rooftop bar, location to downtown & Beale, and we had a great view of the bridge on the 16th floor.

Liked: I’ve stayed there 3 times and each time the staff was very friendly and helpful each time with all needs
Disliked: Could use a little bit more lighting in room but it’s very comfortable Air worked good but has too be on 65 for it to be cooler Trash can needs to be in room

Liked: Very convenient for the city. Comfortable bed. Spacious room. AMAZING staff!
Disliked: There was only one thing that was off putting. When we arrived the toilet seat had been left up and when I pulled it down, it had missed being cleaned and there was urine and hairs on the seat. I cleaned it off.
