Perfect location for exploring Antibes

Liked: Perfect location for walking around Antibes and accessing the train station for a day trip to Cannes - we had a rental car but didn’t use it once as everything was so accessible. The room was really nice and met our expectations, albeit a little tight once we had the baby crib taking up space on the floor. And they didn’t have any luggage racks (even after calling housekeeping to check) so our suitcase had to be sprawled on the little floor space that was left which wasn’t great with a toddler. Otherwise everything was great: it’s a bright, clean hotel, with a great breakfast spread and small but very nice pool area. A special shoutout to the lovely women on breakfast duty who were so sweet with our son, and always made sure the high chair was available for us.
Disliked: The check-in process was a bit stressful - there is no parking in front of the hotel, just two loading spaces, one of which was full when we pulled up (but if the car in front doesn’t pull in correctly, other guests cannot unload and cars behind cannot pass…) so it’s messy. There should be a member of hotel staff standing outside to help direct guests at arrival and support with unloading bags as quickly as possible to unblock the street. Once we pulled up, my husband moved all our bags into the lobby while I unloaded our baby with the stroller & carseat. But he had to leave quickly to move the car into the parking garage so I was left in reception with bags everywhere (and our baby) and nobody offered to help with carrying luggage to our room. I even asked for a luggage trolley to do it myself (*hint hint* to the two people sitting behind their computers at reception…) and they gestured to where I could find one down the hall. Finally a young staff member took pity on me and helped me load the trolley and followed me up to the room but it was a pretty bad first impression.However apart from that, the rest of the stay was wonderful and we would definitely stay again.

Liked: The location is perfect - so close to old town and the port! We spent most of our days wandering around the town and soaking everything in. We also spent an afternoon at the hotel's spa, which we were quite pleased with! The staff was excellent, and the massages were wonderful - it was a wonderfully relaxing afternoon.
Disliked: We had asked the hotel for recommendations on how to book a boat tour, and I was surprised when they simply said "we have no contacts" and that was that. I would have appreciated they provide some level of guidance, as they are the local experts.

Disliked: Not at all what we were promised. A villa french riviera type hotel with a pool. It was a formula hotel, weird interior like an American maffia pub and a tiny plunge pool. The fotos are deceiving
