Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham Toms River

I would only recommend this hotel based on the fair price when comparing to other hotels in the area. I was very unhappy with the room as it was not even close to the pictures posted online. Very disappointing. I would give it a 2 star rating and will definitely book a room in another hotel my next trip to Tom's River area.

Liked: Proximity to Pine Belt Arena.
Disliked: Rooms were not as depicted online. We booked hotel based on pictures, mostly for my daughter, and the room was NOTHING like the pictures shown. Very disappointing. There was also a strange smell in the hallways - maybe fumigation smell, which was very unpleasant.

Disliked: The nasty guests hanging out in the parkingLot and the dirty upkeep of the inside of the stairwells and hallways. My husband stepped in dog crap inside the hotel on the carpeted stairs

Very comfortable. No other issues....

Liked: Proximity to the beach, boardwalk, parks, shops and stores.
Disliked: First room had a sink that fell over on its own thank god no one got injured. Second room was good.

Liked: The property is clean.
Disliked: Late at night a lot of noise banging the door yelling in the whole way I don’t think some of them are staying there

Liked: It was in a really good location, easy access to six flags, restaurants etc. The staff were super friendly.
