No stay

Liked: We canceled out stay doe to adverse information about the hotel. Swiming pool has been closed and the facility has problems with air conditioning. We requested refund but have been ping-pong between Booking and the hotel.

Very good

Could have stayed at several...

Liked: There wasn’t too much to like about this place Your scenic view was parking lot.
Disliked: Our room was musty smelling and the lighting left a lot to be desired. We turned on the air conditioner for a blast of air and opened up the door for a couple hours to air the room out. We booked for three people, and there was only towel service for two. I walked down to the office the next day and asked for another towel service and it took over an hour to arrive. Breakfast bar was a total disaster. The juice machine had a sign that said it was out of order. They had a carafe in the mini fridge that had sunny delight in it. I didn’t check out the apple juice, but it probably was apple juice cocktail. That way they got away with not serving 100% juice. Someone left a coffee that had curled milk on top of it on the counter. We decided to try it anyway. I went to make a waffle and the batter eas very watery. When the waffle was done it was like a piece of lace. We just left everything and we went down to Denee’s diner who served the wonderful breakfast. Today will probably go down to McDonald’s. They said there was microwaves and refrigerates in every room. There is none. The pool is forever on maintenance and closed. I believe this place should be made to write a new review because half the things that are stated in their booking review are untrue. They don’t allow dogs, but maybe this isn’t even a good place for a dog. Check surrounding hotels, they are just about the same rate and have much better ratings..

Superb

Liked: Spacious room very comfortable… very attentive and available. Staff managed by a family who went to exceptional extremes to keep the place inviting and comfortable. Would stay there again for sure.

Liked: This was a very 'tired' Howard Johnson motel. The room smelled damp, and there was no soap in the bathroom. Also, no mini fridge which is now pretty much a standard fixture. While breakfast was provided, the juice dispenser was broken (although there was juice in a chilling cabinet. I think the managing couple were trying hard, but this motel rates at best an overall rating of 4-5. Other than location to a local college, there was nothing we liked.

Pleasant

Liked: Convenient to Williamstown Theatre Festival.
Disliked: Check in is st 3 pm, but room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived at 4 pm. It took 3 people 15 minutes to clean itThe motel is old and a bit sad for the price.

A bad choice.

Liked: Reasonably close to downtown.
Disliked: Very much in need of a re-do. Old skimpy towels and even after running for 5 minutes the water barely got warm. TV didn't work

Liked: Did not try it.
Disliked: Things didn’t work, like the toilet.
