Location was perfect for the Patriotic Festival. Able to hear the concert from the top of the hotel was nice since this year, the weather was not perfect.

As an African American I felt really bad and disappointed when I arrived one hour early and was told by Rosemary that I had to wait for my room key. But about five white families came behind me and received their keys immediately. So I asked why I couldn't get my room key like the white families. Only then did I receive my room key with no explanation why I had to wait and the others didn't. My room had already been cleaned. It's a shame a black family who paid the same money for a room was made to feel so bad about staying there. The pain, anguish, and disappointment leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and on my heart. I will never stay there again because of the prejudice and ignorance of the staff!

It was a pleasant stay.

Liked: I like that the hotel is located across the street from the beach. It also had several restaurants near by.
Disliked: The beeping sound coming from the fire alarm detector. It needed the battery changed.

Overpriced.

Liked: The location was probably the only thing that was decent about this place.
Disliked: The lady charged me a$35 dollar early check-in fee but told me I could only pay cash. Received no receipt for this. I only paid it so we could get into the room sooner than later. The toilet moved when you sat down both the actual seat and at the floor. The bathtub drain was out and sitting on the side of the tub. There was a hole in the door that joined rooms. To lock the door you had to use force with your hip.

Disliked: The concrete walls made me feel like I was in a jail cell, Door wasn’t sealed at the bottom (put a blanket down), headboards dirty (had to wipe down), went to buy towels and wash cloths due to hair being on 1 towel, elevator worked sometimes, smoke smell in room upon every entry no matter how much air freshener I sprayed, I heard everything the neighbors were doing, bathroom door had holes in it that had been repaired with what looked like toilet paper, smoke detector was not connected (wires hanging out of the wall), tv volume didn’t work unless I stood directly in front of the tv, at 1030a there was a knock on the door asking if I was leaving now or staying with check out being 11a. If it wasn’t for my card being charged the day of check-in (which it shouldn’t have been) I would’ve requested a refund. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.
