Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham Victoria

Rooms not as promised, but did get an upgrade on one room. Clean; friendly staff; had a good stay.

Liked: One room upgrade helped
Disliked: Rooms did not have features as sold.

Liked: It turned into a homeless shelter 2 years ago. Not sure how I was able to book it online.
Disliked: Is no longer a hotel. It is a homeless shelter.

Liked: The hotel was not open. Update your website with accurate info
Disliked: The hotel was not open. It was sold to BC housing in April 2020 and now has vagrants living in it. Not impressed with Booking.com. In the future,please make sure the info on your website is accurate. I was lucky to find another room on a busy Labour Day longweekend but could have been left in the lerch.

Disliked: Beds were VERY uncimfortable.. we had sore necks and backs. Plus their bedding was not thick or warm. I had to ask for more blankets.

Older building, clean and good...

Liked: It was an older building in need of some repair but it was clean and good value in a touristy city! Oceane at the front desk gave us great customer service and the housekeeping supervisor was vey accommodating!
Disliked: Weak lightning in the bathrooms and wheelchair ramp around the side is uneven and unsafe for an older person! A stumble waiting to happen!
