Howard Johnson by Wyndham Torrance

I was a bit disappointed...

Liked: Staffs were nice and they did have free parking. Room was very spacious and bathroom was clean. The bath towels were very soft and nice.
Disliked: Just stayed only one night... the room was clean but there were bug(spider} in the room. Family and I was a bit disappointed on the breakfast {there were hardly anything there}... The location was bit farther then we thought but was okay since we had our own car, however once we parked we could leave since there wasn't enough parking...

I was overall disappointed.

Liked: The location was good, quiet and centrally located to all Los Angeles.
Disliked: I have stayed in more inexpensive hotels in the area that were decent and appeared brighter, more modern but I thought let me splurge a lil. I couldn’t afford the “Residence Inn” down the street but I thought ok, “Howard Johnson’s” very reputable name. It’s in “Torrance” and it’s through booking.com, should be “nice!” Location is good but I was overall disappointed. It needs a facelift, it appears run down. Not bright and cheery, even the toaster has seen better days. Room had musty smell even though it’s “non smoking” beds were comfortable. It was just a one night stay and when I got up to shower all I could get was “hot” water I couldn’t use shower. Staff was very nice, apologetic and took note of it but I don’t feel I got what I paid for. So overall disappointed.

Low price low value, convenient...

Liked: Convenient location. Value for the relative low price. Enough parking spaces. Breakfast included.
Disliked: Breakfast included but items were missing (compared with last stay, approximately 2 months ago) that no waffles, no yogurt, coffee machine broke down every now and then( because lack of cleaning and maintenance) and elevator broke down for a majority of a day. Staff at the front desk with an attitude like “please don’t bother me”!

Meh .... wouldn't stay here...

Liked: It was a bed to lay my head after a long flight
Disliked: It was in a rough spot in town and facilities weren't the best
