Convenience at a cost

Liked: Convenient location, fantastic friendly staff who didn’t ask for extra information after having completed the online booking, easy to access.
Disliked: To put it politely, my room smelled like a urinal. The A/C unit was very loud and right beside the bed, and the appliances in the room were extremely bright. I checked in late, left as early as I could to minimize my time there. The whole parking lot was completely full otherwise I would have asked for another room. Having come off a long work day, I didn’t have the energy to fight it. The location seems to be undergoing renovations and hopefully be it plumbing, appliances, or general decor, they all need an upgrade.

Floors not cleaned for a...

Liked: Rooms were mostly renovated. Friendly front desk person who checked me in
Disliked: Floors were sticky from the floor cleaner but it wasn't cleaned for a long time and the towel turned black when i tried to wipe it. It's too bad because the room look good. Bad WiFi

Liked: reasonable inn, located about 30 minutes walk from Kingston Harbour. was not as clean as I would expected considering the price that we payed, but was quiet and had a good quality sleep. there are some restaurants and shops around the location. free parking was available. a small free breakfast is available. the staff was nice and helpfull.
Disliked: smell inside the room was not the best. the cleaning can be done better, the room was dusty and the blanket was dirty.

Good value location and great...

Liked: Good location near to the main street and walkable to the lake shore. Recently renovated room with a very comfortable bed. Pam at reception was very helpful and enthusiastic and a source of knowledge on the area and on Ottawa where she was previously based. Provided me with great information on both Kingston and Ottawa my next stop. Great coffee and drinks machine provided free. Would highly recommend the hotel and thank you again Pam for all your assistance.
