Very good

Always happy with our stays...

Liked: We are always happy with our accommodations at the HO JO in Gillette. Lexii at the front desk was very helpful.
Disliked: The breakfast offering was significantly different from previous years.

Overall, it was a mediocre...

Liked: It was a quiet and clean room. The price was good.
Disliked: Breakfast was bad. Had to keep finding the attendant to have food refilled. The eggs had been out too long. Had to have her refill waffle batter, syrup, sausage. She was irritated and took her slow time. There was no sugar packets for coffee, only substitute. It overall was not great. One bed in our room was awful. The other was good. The pool was not open until the morning we were leaving.

I wouldn’t stay there again...

Liked: The staff was excellent. Super friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable
Disliked: It was full of crackheads. Lots of people living there. It didn’t feel safe.

Liked: Old-school, classic, simple, immaculate, accommodating, flexible.

Clean and functional

Liked: It was conveniently located. There’s fuel, coffee and food nearby . It was clean. It’s bargain basement. Very simple no frills, cheap accommodation. Ok for an overnight stop. Beats sleeping in the car. Friendly staff .
Disliked: You get what you pay for . It’s very cheap. Very basic but at least it was clean and functional

Exceptional

Liked: The price was right and the location was great
Disliked: No 24 hour coffee in the lobby.. however they did have a full-size coffee pot in the room, which was great

I would be up for...

Liked: I liked that the room had a back door that went straight out to the parking lot, right to my car.
Disliked: The back door could have been sealed a bit better. There were gaps where you could see sunlight coming in. In the morning the lady in the room next door to mine sat in her doorway and started smoking. keeping the lit cigarette outside, but because my door wasn't sealed tightly, her smoke came right into my room. Not a good smell to be woken up by. The hotel does have a no smoking policy and the lady did find a loop hole, technically she was smoking outside. The hotel should require guests that smoke to step 25 feet away from the building.

Disliked: No elevator, ice machine out of order, one large towel.
