Liked: Friendly, helpful staff.

Not like photos on website

Liked: Bed was actually pretty comfortable. Shower had good water pressure.
Disliked: Only 2 available outlets in the room to charge phones. There were spots in the carpet you could clearly tell were cut out and replaced poorly. The breakfast was a joke. One flavor cereal, watery waffle mix that didn't cook, 4 slices of bread and a small handful of jelly. That's it. The website photos show a large variety of breakfast items. We didn't use the pool or even check it out, but after returning home we saw a review from a week prior to our stay stating the pool was closed due to covid. Regular price on the room we had was $400/night. It wasn't worth the $100/night we paid. Took a chance on this place. Now I know to stay away from Howard Johnson properties.

Overall the stay was fine...

Liked: Comfortable bed and the location was good
Disliked: Room smelled of old cigarettes even though all the rooms are non-smoking. Air conditioner had black mold inside it and didn’t cool adequatelyHair dryer didn’t work in our room and poor water pressure

Liked: The size for the price.. and it was close to the places we wanted to visit..
Disliked: I did not like that one of the front desk employees came into my room without knocking. He told me it was checkout time but we already paid for two nights..thankfully I was dressed..

Disliked: Arrived at hotel room and there was a cup of cooked Ramen noodles in the microwave, toliet was leaking by the floor. Beds are definitely not a queen size more like a double.

Overpriced, run-down, creepy people and...

Disliked: When we pulled into the parking lot, there was a guy outside cutting weeds with a butterfly knife...he appeared to be working there and looked like he was on drugs. There were people who were out back, who we assumed were living there, drinking, smoking and who knows what else....we ended up moving our vehicles because we did not feel safe leaving them there and did not want to. The online pictures showed that there was a pool and we were told it was permanently closed. It was HOT, smelled horrible and was extremely dirty. The light shade in our room, had stains, which I was hoping was wine...but it's hard to say. The hotel is so extremely run down and the people who appear to be staying there, is enough to keep people away. It's not safe and I strongly recommend that if you have kids, stay somewhere else. Heck if you are by yourself , do yourself a favor and pay extra if needed for a decent place to stay. Trust me, it's worth it. We wanted to leave but I wasn't about to pay for a room that we left and I did not feel like arguing to get my money back.
