Disliked: extremely far from Small Luxury Hotels quality standards

Felt fooled for falling for...

Liked: Nothing. This shouldn’t be considered a hotel. It’s a home.
Disliked: Everything. I cant believe this is labeled as a hotel when it’s nowhere near being one.

Liked: Caring people and warm welcoming was really good. Lady at the reception was so kind to us.
Disliked: Wash basin was not inside the toilet but in the room.

Exceptional

Remembering what once was….

Liked: I have loved this property since I was a little girl. My mom was once an inn keeper there and the houndstooth back then was beautiful! It was Victorian all the rooms were different and it was just a special experience to share with your loved ones to get away.
Disliked: This property has been going downhill for a while and this last time always made me want to cry. It has so much potential and yet you just see it deteriorated. Our first room was not cleaned all the way and the fireplace didn’t work. The wonderful lady that helped us was very sincere and understanding and gave us another room. Both rooms had carpet stains and you could tell just the wear and tear of the building that it’s not maintained like it used to be. Our spa had a bad faucet so it took the tub forever to fill up. This building and its character use to be beautiful it’s just sad to see the condition it’s in now.

Liked: Breakfast great, served by friendly and helpful folks, good base for exploring the area, right on the road out of town
Disliked: Not really ready for our arrival, gas fire not working and no water (hot / cold / faucets or toilet) in the morning, ended up finding another hotel, issue exacerbated by the poor attitude of the duty manager who tried to argue that the water was available until 2am so it wasn’t really a problem…

Great for a romantic escape

Liked: Cosy and warm property close to Yosemite national park. They allowed a late check in which was great for us since we came from afar. The breakfast was included and was very tasty. We stayed only for one night, but would definitely come back.
Disliked: Everything was great.
