HoteLumiere at The Arch

Great view, great location

Liked: We had a huge window looking directly at the arch. Gateway Arch national park is only a few blocks walk. Great to have to find a place to park near the arch. The Cobblestone STL is a great place just one block away for coffee, breakfast, lunch. They also have beer on tap and a happy hour. 360 Rooftop bar on the 26th floor of the Hilton, only 2 blocks from the arch has great food, views and reasonable prices.

Disliked: I know check in isn't till 4PM, and there is a $15 charge for early check in. I think this is ridiculous if there are rooms available at the time someone want to check in. I was there at 2:30 PM, they just want you to kill time gambling. Even at 3:45 they charge an early charge. Why do they want a big line of people checking in at the same time? I stood in line for 40 minutes when I came to a concert. If they are going to make you wait till 4pm they should have more clerks, so it doesn't take so long, especially when they know there is an event, and they will be very busy.

Disliked: No wifi. Or very weak wifi connection

Exceptional

I will never sty at...

Disliked: Half of the elevators were inactive. The set we had to use was across the floor, about 200' away and 180' from our room once we got off of the elevators. The elevators we should have been able to use were only 30 feet from our room. Being connected to the casino made it noisy. The cigarette smell came through from the casino to the public areas of the hotel. The bathroom was not a clean as it should have been.

We made the best out...

Liked: The room smells really bad. No wifi for 5 days during our 7 days stay, and when the wifi is back it cannot reach the room. It’s really really bad specially when you are not from the USA and you needed wifi for communication.
Disliked: The room smells really. No wifi. From the front door you will be seen from the outside because the curtain doesn’t fully cover the glass window.

Great Location -

Liked: Location was great as we had meetings at the Dome. less than a 10 minute walk.
Disliked: We were there 10 days and they didn't clean our room even once. You have to ask for cleaning - which I did - but nobody came.
