Hotel Zur Alten Oder' Frankfurt

Nice hotel, but some areas...

Liked: It was a lovely hotel from the outside, the receptionist stayed for us to check in just before 10pm which we would of been stuck without a night to rest had they not stayed.The car park is right next door - not many cars can fit.
Disliked: The room was full of spiders, the kids were not happy until all were removed...that was my first job unfortunately after a 15 hour car drive it was the last thing I wanted to do. The bathroom had some wooden trim in it and looked a little bit like a builders site.

Great for overnight stay when...

Liked: Location with free parking and access to walking along Oder River as well as street car. Close to Christmas market and downdown shopping area, restaurants.
Disliked: Hotel has dated finishes.

To not be unfair -...

Liked: The hotel was neat and clear. Parking places available and gratis. And that is the end of positives.
Disliked: Staff at the reception desk was unkind and rude. There was not many facilities in the room. No refrigerator, no air condition, no electric kettle no coffee, no tea, no even bottle of water. The Restaurant closes at 9 pm. So when we come no possibility to eat or drink. No problem maybe in other city but in Frankfurt am Oder everything is closed at 9 pm. In hotel there is no lift. The breakfast very average- no coffee machine. Price very high for such services. Hotel accepts animals but price for animal 20 eur the highest we ever pay.

Liked: We stopped for a night while on the trip across Europe. Amazing hotel, beautiful family apartment. Clean, spacious and beautiful room. Was amazed by it. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.. would like to return and stay for longer then a night.
