Superb

Liked: The location was wonderful, staff was always very pleasant.
Disliked: The parking situation downtown, but that is more of a city infrastructure problem and not really in control of the hotel.

Can’t reach by phone

Liked: It’s comfortable and great value
Disliked: We’ve stayed there several times now and are generally happy. However, every time we call we wait 15-20 min and no one ever answers the phone. Whether it be to manage our booking, arranging valet parking, or pick up our luggage. We can never reach anyone. It’s to the point we now just assume they won’t ever pick up.

Stressful in the beginning, was...

Liked: The staff was very helpful with relocating me when the room was not in an acceptable state.
Disliked: I clogged the toilet (which I have no idea how with the 1 ply toilet paper). I believe possibly the toilet was already clogged. There was no plunger in the room. So I asked the receptionist and he sent someone. The guy came 30 minutes later with a toilet cleaning brush.. which obviously would not have worked. So I asked him please Go get a plunger. He never came back after another half an hour. The room wasn't very clean. Dust on the hanging light. Stains on the couch that looked exactly like sweaty booty cheek marks. Pardon me just telling it like it is. Splatter marks on the floor. The tv was smaller than my computer monitor. 1 ply toilet paper... like WHAT. You go to a hotel and expect at least a baseline of comfort. Even schools have 2 ply toilet paper. Thankfully I was given a upgrade by the lovely receptionist who was very apologetic. He was a nice man.

Convenient location, comfortable rooms, but...

Liked: Location is very convenient, just a few blocks away from the historic center. Rooms are clean, comfortable, equiped with a mini fridge, a sink and a microwave, and with plenty of space.
Disliked: Breakfast is very poor - and it is definitely not worth the price. Also, the staff could be better trained, as when I arrived I asked about breakfast hours, and was told that it started everyday at 7:30 am. Then, I learned that on weekdays it actually starts at 7, and on a Saturday morning I discovered that on the weekends it is only after 8... I learned this in the worst possible way, because I had a professional meeting early in the morning, and so I had to go on an empty stomach. Also, the check-in process took longer than necessary.
