The Spotlight on Hotel Zachary Chicago a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Stylish Boutique Stay in the Heart of Wrigleyville

Modern and effortlessly cool, Hotel Zachary Chicago a Tribute Portfolio Hotel sits right across from iconic Wrigley Field in the vibrant Lakeview neighborhood. With sleek design touches, floor-to-ceiling windows, and city or ballpark views, this boutique hotel blends Chicago character with upscale comfort. Thanks to its unbeatable location and contemporary vibe, it's a favorite for fans heading to concerts or events in the area.

Why Concert-goers love it

Being just one block from the Addison Red Line station means you're only minutes by train from Chicago’s biggest music venues, like the Riviera Theatre, Aragon Ballroom, and downtown stages. After late-night shows, you can easily catch a ride or walk back to the hotel and unwind. The on-site bar and flexible atmosphere give you space to hang out or chill quietly. While check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM, the friendly staff is often accommodating for early arrivals or late departures when possible.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to catch a game and a show
  • Solo travelers ticking a concert off their bucket list
  • Couples planning a romantic music-filled weekend
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space – the hotel is lively but not rowdy
  • Budget-conscious music fans might find it a little splurge-worthy, but worth it for the location and quality

Food and Drink Options

You won’t go hungry here. The hotel’s lobby bar serves classic American favorites for lunch and dinner, and there’s a hot breakfast available each morning in the lobby—perfect for a relaxed start after a late night out. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, there are plenty of walkable late-night dining spots just steps away along Clark Street.

Nightlife Options

The hotel’s vibrant bar is a great pre- or post-show hangout, serving up craft cocktails and a lively atmosphere. You’re also surrounded by local bars, lounges, and music venues in Wrigleyville, making it easy to keep the night going or wind down with a drink nearby.

What People Say

Guests rave about the location across from Wrigley Field and proximity to the train. The modern design and cleanliness of the rooms earn consistent praise, along with the friendly, attentive staff. Many reviewers also highlight the spacious rooms and great views from upper floors.

Areas for Improvement

While most guests love the buzz of the area, some mention that it can get a bit noisy on game or concert nights. If you're a light sleeper, consider requesting a room facing away from the ballpark. Also, parking fees can add up, so public transit or rideshare might be easier on the wallet.

The Bottom Line

With its unbeatable location, stylish rooms, and easy access to Chicago’s live music scene, Hotel Zachary is a top pick for concert-goers looking to stay right where the action is.

Susan, Dayton, visiting Metro Chicago

What an awesome boutique hotel! The thought that went into the architecture and the detail in the design and the furnishings put the "lux" in luxury for me! I treated myself to that 'something more' experience and was not disappointed. Being within walking distance to the Metro Concert Hall and having my car valet parked made my solo trip into the big windy city so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend Hotel Zachary.

Liked: The roads were slick with falling snow the morning I left the hotel and the lovely man who brought my car to me must have hit a slick spot. He made absolutely certain my car was good and I would be safe and that I knew to handle the car with care.
Disliked: I experience zero bad points.

David, Canton, visiting Music Box Theatre Chicago

The room was very nice; the staff were all very helpful and pleasant; the location is great and the price was good for a high-end hotel. You cannot go wrong with choosing the Zachary.

Liked: A very nice room in a very good location.
Disliked: The in-house breakfast offered few choices.

Liked: We attended a concert at Wrigley and the location of the hotel was insanely convenient.
Disliked: While the facilities were outstanding and the location couldn't be more perfect, chances are good that our stay was a one time only. The price was WAY outside our budget. If it wasn't for the high price, we would definitely stay again.

Very poor

Liked: Nice hotel and great location
Disliked: I paid 2k for a one night stay in a junior suite which was to have a king bed a sofa and a balcony with a view. When we got there it took us over 15 minutes to check it and the lady working at the desk would not tell us what the problem was until she found a manager. Turns out she couldn’t check us in because they gave away our room to someone else. They stuck us in a small suite without a sofa and a balcony from which you could not see anything! Also the AC in that room ran so loud it was hard to hear! I’m extremely upset, this trip was to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday and they ruined it. We will be disputing the credit card changes as the room they gave us was not the room we paid for and not worth 2K a night! The staff was extremely rude, they didn’t apologize or try to make amends for their mistake!!!

Liked: Everything was great! This was our first time in Chicago, and with getting in late, we were stressed about parking. The hotel valet was extremely helpful! They were there to greet us and help us immediately! The staff were all friendly and they helped us get to where we needed to be with ease. The room was exceptionally cleaned and the view of the stadium was spectacular! My son absolutely loved it. The shower was incredible- the water is soft and the shower head was strong! The location was perfect; we could easily walk around and Uber to other locations nearby.
Disliked: No refrigerator/freezer

Liked: Great location! I stayed relatively in the neighborhood the whole time. The breakfast from the bagel place connected to the hotel was also pretty good and the staff was really attentive!
Disliked: Nothing they could’ve changed. Maybe like an attached spa place or pool or something, but really what can staff do about that?
