Liked: The staff was A++++ . It has been a long time since I have stayed anywhere with such genuinely friendly and helpful staff. It makes all the difference. And i loved the book in the room!!
Disliked: Like all hospitality and hotels these days, prices were elevated for a place off the highway.

Liked: The property was originally built as a motor lodge common in the late 1920s. Recent improvements have made the property fresh and charming. The local management and staff are professional and quick to accommodate guest needs.
Disliked: The heating and air conditioning unit was noisy and slow to establish & maintain a comfortable room temperature. The room television is confusing & cumbersome to find broadcast programming. The two bedside lamps didn't work.

Liked: The bed is insanely comfortable! The property is beautiful; torches, fire pits, and all of the white lights are a lovely touch! The bar, retro fridge, and fireplace are fantastic, and we loved our little sitting area.
Disliked: The breakfast wasn't great, the bathroom floor appeared dirty, and, at $500/night, you could certainly provide higher quality toilet paper . I was sad our white lights didn't work but the good far outweighed the bad!

Delightful stay - owner has...

Liked: The property itself is gorgeous. Such a gorgeous place to relax in the sun and enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the Santa Barbara wine country. The rooms are beautifully curated and homely, and the breakfast was good.
Disliked: The staff left a lot to be desired. They all looked completely miserable, don’t think we got a single smile or attempt at any engagement. The guy who checked us in told us not to buy anything from the gift shop because it’s a rip-off (referring to some cushions my friend wanted) it felt a bit like faulty towers on the staffing front. Despite my booking confirmation saying that check out was between 11am and 1pm, I was rudely kicked out of the room by a staff member at 11.30 - saying she would charge another $100 US per hour to the booking if we didn’t leave. I explained that my booking confirmation said between 11 and 1 for checkout, and she said it only if you pay more that you can have later than 11. This should be much much clearer on your booking confirmations.
