Liked: The staff, particularly the host, were very helpful and friendly. We loved the restaurant and they allowed us to bring our little dog in there with us.The room was very spacious and the whole hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy

Liked: The hotel is the converted old train station building and the train station itself is still there at this location. The hotel works in partnership with the restaurant that is situated on the ground floor with a spacious beer garden. I had dinner there on my arrival and the staff were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. It was a busy evening. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was full of choice and the lady went out of her way to fulfil everyone's wish.
Disliked: If you are looking for a quiet stay over than you may be disappointed at Xtra Gleis, as it is literally the at the train station of Hörstel. Trains are running frequently, freight trains during the night as well. And passengers are on the platforms till late in the night.

Liked: Room was good and clean. Basic, but enough for one night
Disliked: Staff was very unfriendly!! Sat in the biergarten and we were told to leave at 22:00 because the waitress wanted to go home. Ridiculous for a Saturday evening!Checkout was a struggle with the hotel entirely closed for early check out. Managed to check out, but the staff was not happy with an early check out.
