Huge rooms with high ceilings...

Liked: The rooms are huge with high ceilings and tall windows. The floor is ceramic tile and the furniture is antique. The whole place has such great character. Breakfast was good and had plenty of choices.
Disliked: While the rooms are huge the bathroom (at least mine) was small but workable. Shower worked well but just expect it to be a bit cramped. The other thing is, if you get a room with a street view, expect to hear the traffic as the windows need to be upgraded and made more soundproof.

A great base for a...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location. Easy to walk to all main attractions but removed from the chaotic crowds. The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned (wonderful in July), the reception desk was staffed almost 24 hours a day with friendly, polite and professional people and breakfast was excellent.

Liked: I liked the old building with its architectural features. The painted ceilings were lovely.
