Liked: Love the location especially in a room with a sea view. Staff are lovely and friendly. Very helpful, particularly in the bar. Relaxed, comfortable ambience.
Disliked: Whilst the rooms are clean there is some attention to detail needed around taps, edges etc. The lift doors definitely could do with a clean. I stay regularly at the Victoria and the room I was in has had a bathroom refresh. However the water pressure from the shower is still very poor. Power showers are needed in an old building like this and for the price of the rooms would definitely make a difference to my stay.

Liked: restaurant area, front of the sea, food, friendly staff
Disliked: the wood positioned at the head/back rest was a little scary and unsafe, detached from the bed. the windows bad, old, made noise and ugly.

Great for a weekend stay.

Liked: Great location by the sea.
Disliked: Was no shelf in the shower, to put Shower gel and shampoo on.

Greater stay, easily accessible.

Liked: Recently renovated, charming hotel with in house restaurant serving quality and tasty food a cut above the normal. Lift access to upper and lower floors. Amazing 2 cheese and mushroom omelette for breakfast. The scallop and prawn entre for dinner was fantastic as was the fish pie. Great value and very pleasant stay.
Disliked: Mattress too soft for me.
