Relaxing and comfortable.

Liked: Location ideal. Staff friendly and efficient. Rooms were cleaned promptly and tea/coffee replenished. Plenty of room in car park and no need to register car number with hotel.
Disliked: Pre-ordering of breakfast seemed a bit pointless as one day out of five they got our order completely wrong.

Liked: Excellent room, comfortable and everything you could want . All staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent value and Gillian on reception very helpful and had a great sense of humour .
Disliked: Nothing, all good

Lovely hotel

Liked: Room was lovely and spacious and extremely clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really lovely.
Disliked: The shower was awful hardly any water pressure at all, only stayed 3 days for the last two couldn’t have a proper shower.

Good, convenient location for a...

Liked: Excellent location for my purposes, about 3 minutes’ walk from the start line of a race I was participating in. Chose the hotel specifically for the location and it was reasonably priced as well.
Disliked: It needs some TLC. Decor is very tired and dated (threadbare stair carpet, uninspiring furnishings, water-stained grout and shower trim in the bathroom) but the bed was comfortable and the room had all I needed. The kettle took 20 minutes to boil though - it looked to be a travel-type kettle which clearly didn’t have a powerful enough element.

Disliked: skirting boards and door frames in room would look much nicer in white. Carpets worn in places, stairs etc.
