Good location hotel with no...

Liked: The hotel's location was excellent, a short distance from the main railway station although that part of town was a bit quiet in the evenings as it's in the financial district. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and quite large. The room was very quiet in spite of the location as our window faced a brick wall!
Disliked: The recent refurbishment has fallen into the modern trap of form over function. The curtains were cosmetic as they didn't close, the roller blind didn't go all the way down so I had to use my mechanical skill to fix it so it did. There were no drawers in the room (except for the tiny bedside table ones) and no wardrobe, only a small bar across the corner of the room with four hangers on it! For this reason I'm glad we only stayed two nights there.

Historical, lovely and convenient with...

Liked: Clean and interesting, with a relaxed atmosphere. Very close to transportation and attractions. Staff was courteous and helpful and the restaurant was excellent. Would and will stay there again.
Disliked: Price was slightly more than original quote.

Great location, excellent price.

Liked: Great location, right downtown. The room was small and basic but it had everything we needed and was clean and well-maintained. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced place, for a short stay right downtown, you can't beat this place.
