Overall good experience, Staff is...

Liked: Clean room, Best Location, Cozy room. I suggest for couple it is enough size of room.
Disliked: No elevator for 4th floor which is hard if you in out multiple times.

Good location. Super sweet staff....

Liked: Very lovely family run hotel. The building is quite old although it has character and regular keys are still used to open up the main door and your individual room. Great air conditioning. Hosts were the sweetest, and super willing to help. There is no elevators so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. One of the lovely older women wanted to help us with our heavy luggage up the stairs. We were happy to do this ourselves but she was very adamant and very kind to help. The hosts also allowed us to leave our luggage with them on check out day until we were leaving the city with no additional cost. Location is great and within walkable distance to night life and food spots.
Disliked: The hotel is very old, and although it has character, you would not want to stay there for a longer holiday. Rooms are average size but bathroom was quite small, particularly shower was very tight. Potentially not as clean as it could have been, although it did not feel unhygienic. Beds are not hugely comfortable and are a bit squeaky but easily manageable for a one night stay. You can hear things happening outside your room with guests next door, although the street itself was relatively quiet throughout the night.

Disliked: The staircase and the main entrance should be well represented

A decent budget stay in...

Liked: Close to public transportation and central to many areas of the city
Disliked: Old mattress, small room, few amenities

Liked: Price, proximity to Metro. AC was good and mini fridge in room.

Too expensive for bare minimum

Liked: ✅ Just a short walk from the Berri-UQAM metro station. Close to Grande Bibliothèque. Just around the corner from Gare d'autocars, which is a godsend if you're taking the bus to Québec City or to the airport.✅ Bed is big and the room big enough. There's a fridge inside. Linens made me feel itchy daily, though, and they weren't changed in my one-week stay here.
Disliked: ❌ Shady location. While close to the metro, the street seems rundown and creepy at night. You might see homeless people or prostitutes along the street.❌ Housekeeping barely cleans the room. Just changed the towels daily; bed isn't made up or room sweeped. Toilet isn't even cleaned. Linens weren't changed at all in my one-week stay here.❌ Staff attempted entering my room once while I was inside. Didn't even knock. When I opened the door, they said it was to check the AC, which I didn't even complain about. I was creeped out and felt unsafe.❌ No elevator! Stairs are very narrow. If you have heavy suitcases or mobility-challenged, just find another place.

Liked: Basic room, but met all requirements. Great location. Right beside bus station so access to the airport was very easy. Also close to metro to visit other parts of the city. Pleasant place, Good value foe money.
Disliked: No stairs but this is advertised so not a surprise.
