Disliked: Nicer biscuits with the kettle in the room!!

My expectations were obviously too...

Disliked: my room had nothing of the flava of the hotel. It was facing the car park and the fumes from cars. It was down a very dark corridor as low as you could get in the hotel and it was a room that should’ve been used for cleaning products rather than sleeping in. when I asked for the sink to be drained, they insisted that it had been done and yet the water still didn’t run away, and the sink hadn’t been cleaned after I complaint.

Excellent service with a relaxing...

Liked: Daniel that works here went out of his way to welcome us and help us after a particularly stressful day (not caused by the hotel or their staff in any way). He was polite, friendly and went the extra mile to be helpful. The bed was a king and I slept like a log, as it was so comfortable. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The pizzas at night were particularly nice. Lovely little hotel overall.
Disliked: The shower could have been more powerful.

Pleasant

Liked: We had a nice comfortable family room with one king size bed and one single bed.
Disliked: The bathroom had a bath but no shower, not very practical. Also, there was no shelf to put our toiletries on. Breakfast was disappointing, with very little choice.

Lovely stay at Hotel Vara...

Liked: Lovely staff. As a solo traveller it was nice to feel relaxed and comfortable. They have everything you need and were very helpful if you needed anything.
Disliked: No dislikes.
