Enjoyable stay and brilliant staff.

Liked: Lovely building, great staff and facilities. Staff were super helpful and friendly- would definitely recommend 😊
Disliked: We were in a lovely attic room 303, but the AC was no good so we had to have the velux window open, so we got a few insect bites!

For just one night was...

Liked: The story of being a prison !The staff was very friendly and breakfast was very good
Disliked: I was given the wrong room as not the one I’ve booked. But realise late that day and too tired to confront the situation. The cleanliness of the room was very poor starting with the mirror behind the door which was very unpleasant to look at. The toilet seat better not to lift it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay...

Liked: The staff at the reception desk and in the kitchen were very friendly and accomodating. I loved the buffet style breakfast served and the delicious coffee. My room had everything I needed, a comfortable bed, a fine bathroom with hot water and a heater, and overall it was very quiet. Also, the location of the lodge is ideal and in walking distance of many places I liked to go to. I very much enjoyed going for walks in the surrounding area.
Disliked: There was nothing I disliked in particular.

Exceptional

Liked: We stayed here a few times after events close by, and the value for money is very good compared to staying in Brussels. Very friendly staff at the desk and spacious, clean rooms. 24/7 Desk for check-in as well for late arrivals. The history of the building (old prison) adds to the experience, and the story is told throughout the building with small informational texts/displays.

Liked: the staff was quite helpful. I had a problem with my payment and they accepted me to pay later via bank transfer and let me check out without paying. it was extremely helpful and understanding.
Disliked: I stayed in the attic room. the elevator was not reaching to that level. and as the room was so big, it was a bit cold in the mornings.
