Winter Carnival getaway

Liked: I stayed at Hotel Terrasse Dufferin during the winter carnival with my boyfriend. It was absolutely beautiful. The location is right on the boardwalk next door to the chateau. The building is beautifully maintained with its historic ambiance. However our room was renovated beautifully and very modern making our stay so comfortable and inviting. Amélie was the host, and so wonderful and accommodating. She communicated with me often prior to our arrival to answer any questions I had. Parking was available on site. Would 100% stay here again.

Fantastic stay, so well worth...

Liked: Amelie was great, she and her staff were very helpful during early check-in and she also offered us an extra toboggan ride ticket to cap our visit in Old Quebec. She didn’t have to, but the free extra ticket was a very sweet and thoughtful gesture. Thanks, Amelie! The hotel also gave us front row seats to the views and proximity to Lawrence River, Citadel, Frontenac and other nearby attractions. The location made it very easy and comfortable to see all the points of interest during our 3 nights there

Liked: Premier location, kind staff, very clean, complimentary coffee pot and fridge in room with snacks.
Disliked: Room temp was a little warm at night. Stairs may be an issue for some folks. If you like to brag to your friends about where you stayed on vacation, this is not the place. Decor a little tired - but it didn’t bother us.

Character filled, cosy, convenient, and...

Liked: I loved the quirkiness of the hotel, being old and retaining character. The location was peaceful while being close to plenty of sights. No noise at night. The mini fridge had some tasty snacks too to keep me going when I got peckish. Overall a lovely place I'd go back to easily.
Disliked: The stairs. Well it's good exercise! A bit of effort with luggage to top floor.

Excellent service, location and cleanliness

Liked: The hotel is very beautiful and well maintained. Amélie's attention is excellent. Everything is very clean. It is close to Fairmont Le Château Frontenac so the view is very nice. We will definitely return!
Disliked: The pillows could be a little more comfortable and the heating is a little high for us.
