Liked: Great location. Great breakfast and staff. Very clean and comfortable stay.

Liked: Very authentic place with nice decoration. You’ll feel staying at middle age hotel. This is the first building in the entrance of city of Bruges. So very close to train station by walking. However 15 mins walking distance to Markt Place and not suitable for accomodating with kids.
Disliked: I didn’t find the staff friendly and did not feel welcomed.

For a small and charming...

Liked: Its location is central. You can especially enjoy a pleasant time at Minnewater Park right next to it. The breakfast is tasty and sufficient.
Disliked: Due to some confusion during the payment process, one of the receptionists displayed an attitude that bordered on rude. It felt like she was speaking to a coworker rather than a guest. She implied something like “you might run off without paying,” though she tried to soften it—but the underlying message was clear. They didn’t even acknowledge the compliments we gave about something, or perhaps they simply didn’t speak English. Our bed was made by combining two separate beds, so we can’t say we had a truly comfortable sleep. Also, their attitude didn’t feel very welcoming toward guests with a baby. (Only the ladies at the reception were like this—there was one gentleman who was actually quite helpful.)

Disappointing

Liked: Good location and the breakfast table was basic but the bread was warm and fresh and had good orange juice.
Disliked: The strong smell in our room that I had to bare all night. Authentic house but really outdated. The beds were not very comfortable.

Very uncomfortable

Liked: Very bad smell. Shower in room not working. Pillows really bad . Bedding stained. No lampshade. Overall very bad. Would not recommend it at all.
