A satisfactoring stay despite a...

Liked: The accommodation suited our needs in terms of comfort, equipment and location. Comfortable bed, availability of a fridge and a safe. The private parking was useful to avoid emptying the car for a single night.The city was pleasant to explore. The centre is easy to reach on foot.
Disliked: The breakfast last until 11h00; however if you plan to take it, you are better to be there at 9h30 at the latest; this time seems to be the rush hour on Sundays and not only there is no refill of missing food after 10h00 but there is a lack of tableware and the staff is overwhelmed by the task. A simple query such as to know where a plate can be found is finally answered in a manner bordering on rudeness.The staff reception at the hotel is a complete opposite of the one found in restaurants in town where friendly, open and smiling waiters work. Luckily we met them, otherwise we would have left the pretty town of Magdeburg thinking that it was populated only by grumpy people.

Disliked: Old town, Domplatz, Grüne Zitadelle (Hundertwasser‘s House) 10 min drive away, too far to walk
