My husband and I stayed overnight and with the many hotels we have stayed at, I have to say, hotel Skylar was one of our favorites by far! Very clean; staff very helpful and friendly; the hotel was close to everything we needed it for.

Comfortable and close to upstate...

Liked: This hotel is so close to upstate medical it was easy to walk back and forth. It’s also walking distance to various restaurants. The staff is accommodating and very friendly and the room was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this establishment!!!
Disliked: I could not find anything to dislike about this property.

Close to the university

Liked: It’s in a great location —- close to Syracuse University and Upstate Medical Center.
Disliked: The decor is dated and bland. The rooms lack a coffee/tea set up and there was no bottled water. It looks like a luxury hotel but it isn’t. I didn’t like the closet having a curtain rather than a door. For the price and exterior appearance, I expected more.

We stayed for an event...

Liked: Proximity to downtown Syracuse.
Disliked: Sounds, like squeaking beds & and elephant footsteps were very apparent through thin walls/ceiling.
