Amazing place in Bordeaux!

Liked: An absolutely fantastic hotel with nice and friendly staff. We were on our cycling holiday and passed through Bordeaux and booked a night to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. They also arranged a safe place to park our bikes. The communication with Sasha ahead of our arrival was very professional and welcoming. Cyrille welcomed us and showed us our room which was prepared very nicely. Spacious and luxurious room with bathtub and two “French balcony’s “. Manon was also very professional and was made us feel welcomed and seen. The spa is smallbut very nice and we had it all for ourself. The breakfast Manon served us in the morning was outstanding!We will definitely come back next time we are in Bordeaux!

Liked: Great location in walkable distance to a lot of the main tourist attractions. The bed was comfortable, and Sacha who was at reception during most of my stay was very helpful. Complimentary water during my stay.
Disliked: This is not a criticism but just something to be mindful about. As mentioned, reception was very helpful with many things. The building doesn't have a lift and the stairs leading up to the higher floors is quite narrow if you have large suitcases, though reception was very helpful with carrying mine up and down for me. I'm told that additional toiletries like body lotion or hair conditioner need to be requested from reception, as they don't come ready in the room.

Disliked: The room design left quite a bit to be desired. There was limited space to store luggage or personal items like cosmetics, which made the stay feel a bit cramped. It was also surprising that no slippers were provided to go to the spa area—having to wear outdoor shoes felt out of place for a hotel of this category.The in-room amenities could use some improvement as well. Only decaffeinated Nespresso capsules were available—why not offer regular coffee as an option? The TV was frustratingly slow to respond when changing channels, which detracted from the overall comfort.Lighting in the bathroom was another issue: the blue hue gave it an almost unsettling atmosphere (often used in public bathrooms to avoid drug addicts to use in them). It certainly didn’t contribute to a relaxing experience.Lastly, the lack of natural light in the room was a major disappointment. Our window faced an interior courtyard, and this wasn’t clearly stated in the booking materials. The room photos were quite misleading in that regard, and I imagine some guests would have reconsidered had they known in advance.
