Clean and classic hotel with...

Liked: Great location. Big clean room. Nice bedding. Lobby bar looked nice. Walked through campus in the morning.
Disliked: Parking is a bit of a challenge. We ended up street parking (on a Sunday night) with no issues. Could of used some luggage racks in the room to set suitcases on.

Beautiful retro hotel - great...

Liked: The King bed was very comfortable- the pullout bed was pretty bad. Too small for two people and very uncomfortable mattress. The room heaters were very loud and kept us up as they turned on and off all night. The room was very clean - which was nice. The shower drain was slow and the tub filled with water after two showers. Staff was quite friendly.

Nice stay in Berkeley

Liked: I liked the helpful staff and clean facilities. I especially liked that it was an interesting historic building. A good location near downtown, the university, and public transportation. Two coffee makers in the room (Keurig and Nespresso)!
Disliked: The room we had was a bit small, but it was comfortable. My wife wished there was a hot water kettle for tea.

Great place to stay if...

Liked: Very clean. Excellent restaurant and bar with great wait staff
Disliked: No onsite parking. Offsite parking was expensive. There was noisy construction going on immediately next door and our room had a front-row seat

Comfortable hotel in great location

Liked: Historic clean great room , nice lobby
Disliked: No pool or gym.
