The Spotlight on Hotel Sergul

Classic Comfort Near London's Music Scene

Hotel Sergul is a charming, no-frills 3-star hotel located in the heart of Hammersmith and Fulham. With a simple yet cozy vibe, this hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with thoughtful touches like free WiFi, a fridge, and tea-making facilities. Just a short walk from top venues and lively West London neighborhoods, Hotel Sergul blends convenience with quiet charm.

Why Concert-goers love it

Whether you're heading to a show at Eventim Apollo (only a 12-minute walk away) or catching a gig at Olympia London, Hotel Sergul puts you in a prime location without the central London chaos. The area is relatively quiet at night, making it a great spot to unwind after a loud show. With flexible 1:00 PM check-in and an 11:00 AM check-out, it’s easy to get settled before the music starts and still sleep in the next day. Plus, nearby public transport hubs make it simple to get around late at night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want an affordable base near multiple venues
  • Solo travelers catching a dream gig and wanting a safe, quiet stay
  • Couples making a music-filled weekend of it
  • Fans needing a low-key space to decompress post-show
  • Budget-conscious concert-goers who still want comfort and a bit of style

Food and Drink Options

While Hotel Sergul doesn’t offer on-site dining, you're just steps from a wide range of restaurants, pubs, and late-night takeaways in Hammersmith. Local spots cater to late-night cravings, and with a fridge and electric kettle in each room, you can bring back snacks or make a late tea without issue. Breakfast cafes are plentiful nearby for a much-needed morning-after bite.

Nightlife Options

If your night doesn’t end with the encore, you’re in luck. The area around Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith is filled with pubs, cocktail lounges, and cozy bars, many within walking distance. While Hotel Sergul itself is a quieter retreat, the vibrant nightlife is only minutes away.

What People Say

Reviews often highlight the hotel’s spotless rooms, friendly staff, and excellent location for concerts and city exploring. Guests love the peaceful atmosphere after a big night out and appreciate the reliable WiFi and comfy beds. Many say it’s a hidden gem for the price.

Areas for Improvement

There’s no elevator, so those with heavy luggage may find the stairs a bit of a workout. Also, lacking an on-site restaurant means planning meals out – but with so many local options, that’s rarely a problem.

The Bottom Line

Hotel Sergul is a simple yet well-located stay that hits the right notes for concert-goers looking for comfort, quiet, and convenience in West London.

Good but with issues

Liked: There were good things we liked. The most important was the owner who was a lovely person and wanted to be super helpful and was. There was a refrigerator in the room and a Tesco supermarket within a 2 minute walk across the street, along with some cafes. The shower had good water pressure.
Disliked: This hotel is a converted Victorian and it is showing its age. For example, the bed was very uncomfortable even though the owner gave us a feather mattress cover that helped. It took 4 to 5 tries to flush the toilet each time in the room we had. There was no telephone to call with any problems, you have to go downstairs and knock on the door of the owners office /home. But the most important thing is that the hotels on the street, Shepherd's Bush road, do not have elevators. The wonderful owner gave me the lowest level room when she saw I had mobility issues because there are no rooms on the ground floor. This means I had to go up and down 17 steps each time, which is a lot for someone who is disabled and difficult to do with suitcases. If you have mobility issues these hotels are not a good idea. Always ask a hotel if they have an elevator because most of these do not. I would love to give the hotel a glowing review because the owner, Maura is such a wonderful and kind human being but realistically the facilities and amenities are problematic. The price is relatively low but there are a few issues.
