Beautiful piece of history

Liked: The character of the building. The paintings, marble, wallpaper and decorative features were stunning. The pub food was good. The room was clean, except for the curtains. It is a beautiful historic hotel.
Disliked: I emailed the property three times before our stay, plus called a few times. I did not get a response. The bathroom door in our room, #121, was a genuine safety hazard. It had shifted, so if it closed all the way, it was impossible to open from the inside. The top of the door was too tight in the frame. I got trapped in the bathroom multiple times. My husband had to push the door open from the outside. Had I been alone, I would have been completely trapped and unable to get help, until staff eventually found me. If there was an emergency, the person on that bathroom would be in immediate and imminent danger. Parking is horrendous. Bed was clean but not very comfortable.

Liked: Good rates for my stay, which was over five nights. The staff were polite, friendly & very helpful. My room was just what I needed & the bed was very comfortable. It definitely had style with Winston's the English pub attached to it. I will definitely recommend Hotel Senator & look forward to my next visit.
Disliked: Nothing, I was happy with my stay.

Disliked: Very limited parking availability provided by hotel. The surrounding street parking is scarce. I had to wait until the evening to find street parking near the hotel for my large vehicle
