Hotel Seeburg

Hotel Seeburg was very nice...

Liked: Hotel Seeburg is about a 10 minute bus ride from the main downtown tourist area. The bus stop is immediately in front of the hotel and a local public transportation pass is included with the room. The room was modern and had a Nespresso machine and pods for coffee lovers. The bathroom was very nice with a tub / shower combo and outlets for curling iron or hair dryer. The lake is directly across the road with a large park like area that is actually a restaurant. We had a dinner of pizza and drinks after scanning the QR code on the table and placing our order on the phone. There is a large park area within walking distance, but it's far enough out of down town that you will have to take the bus.

Liked: The guys at the reception were very nice. This is the only like I would put.
Disliked: With 4 stars hotel you expect more! No tooth brushes, no sleepers. The flooring was cold that's why we asked for a big towel to put in on the floor. We stayed for 6 nights and they didn't change bedding. First evening, I wet towel and cleaned the floor near my bed. It was dusty. I didn't raise that as I didn't want to cause any issue before New Year Eve. The room was very basic. I wouldn't give more than 2 stars!

Liked: friendly staff. The food is very tasty. The room is clean.
Disliked: The first unpleasant thing is that when you enter the room you immediately smell the dampness. This is very unpleasant. The room is quite cool. It is winter outside, so I had to cover myself with two blankets. Second, if you fall and need a first aid kit, which should at least contain iodine - forget it. It is strange that an expensive hotel does not even have a normal first aid kit. It had two disinfectant wipes, I used them, so someone else might not be so lucky next time.

Liked: View of the lake and Mt Pilatus from our bed - Amazing. Staff, Daniel and all others were so kind and helpful. Food at restaurant was first class, I had the beef cheek and veggies. Easiest bus ride No. 24 in and out of town, bus stop right outside hotel. Highly recommend.
