Located on the River Elbe between Dresden's Old Town and the Weißer Hirsch district this elegant hotel is a 19th-century Tudor-style palace along the upper bank of the River Elbe. It is set in 15 hectares of parkland surrounded by ancient trees. Hotel Schloss Eckberg offers exclusively furnished rooms in the castle with high-class furnishings and antiques. Some rooms are located in the Cavalier's House in the park just 656 feet from the main building. The Hotel Schloss Eckberg features 2 saunas and a fitness room all located in the Cavalier's House. A variety of select packages and treatments are also available. The stylish Schlossrestaurant serves a rich breakfast buffet lunches afternoon coffee with regional pastries as well as elegant dinners. Not a professional four-star rated...

Liked: Friendly staff, doing their best, but the issue is a lack of services provided by the hotel.
Disliked: Schloss Eckberg is presented at the Booking.com site as a four-star hotel, with availability of a restaurant. After arriving it became however clear that:1- All days of our stay the restaurant isn't available for hotel guests2 - There is no hotel bar facility (or it was closed during our 3 days stay)3 - There is no hotel room cleaning service during our stay, also not on request. Not even toilet paper or soap was replenished, nor the waste container in the rooms emptied.General you can say that the hotel doesn't offer the service package you expect when you book a four-star rated hotel at the Booking.com site. N.B. The hotel reception is making illegal - without asking for permission - a copy of your passport. This is against the European wide General Data Protection Regulation (GDP) as well as the German Bundesmeldegesetz, As frequent business traveller staying in four-star rated hotels it never happened me before.

Liked: Fantastic location! Magnificent views!
Disliked: You need ti do something about internet. It was horrible experience. I don't remember when last time i use such slow internet and such uncomfortable way to connect to wifi. Please do something about it.
