Liked: The staff was great and so does the location.
Disliked: We got exchange to dirty sheets with blood. Also on our second night the soaps were gone. There was construction on the site and not really nice to wake up to that.The beds are not comfortable and the "view" was for dirty wall.

Comfortable, budget-friendly option for exploring...

Liked: We had a comfortable stay at Hotel Scala. It's well located for exploring the city center and beyond; with shopping, dining, groceries and public transport options within walking distance. If you're planning on arriving by car, research the parking options in the area ahead of time. On this occasion we were fortunate to find an open spot right in front as we dropped our luggage; but i doubt this is a common occurrence.Our double room was basic, but well thought out, clean and comfortable. It had all the essentials, including a fan!, which you would think most accommodations without air conditioning would provide; but that is still not a given in many/most.The roundabout area in front of the hotel can be quite busy, but the room windows did an excellent job at muting most of the outside noise.
Disliked: If it is not an option already, some of the rooms would benefit from having a full or queen bed rather than two singles, for couples wanting to share the same bed.

Disliked: Tiny shower and location.Yes also a like, but surrounded by Turkish kebab which i don't like and it was difficult to find another option due to late arrival.
