A nice stylish friendly hotel...

Liked: Excellent breakfast. Nice and clean. Helpful staff, who kindly arranged a move to a twin room when one became available as we were not satisfied with the quality of the double bed.
Disliked: Very poor quality double bed. Uncomfortable, very thin poor mattress.

Liked: Good location and food
Disliked: My room only had 1 bedside tables, there was no reading lights in the room only the ceiling light.The way the curtains were set up were not as anywhere else I had stayed there was a net curtains with a dummy curtain on the room side. When I arrived in my room after dinner I couldn’t find a curtain that could be close therefore had to get changed with the lights off. Only in the morning I found that the curtain that could be closed was behind the net curtain which had to be opened fully to enable the other curtain to close. Poor setup

Liked: The hotel looks swish and on arrival you will be impressed. Breakfast was exceptional. Room clean
Disliked: Reception is badly designed and not private or welcoming. Staff pleasant but talk fast with strong accent so hard to hear. Rooms we were in had no lift and this was not pointed out at allocation. Rooms smelt musky and mine was old fashioned inside. Don't be confused about meals, you do not have to eat expensive menu in restaurant. They do a cheaper menu you can eat in bar or room. We made this big mistake, the man in restaurant was rude about our not booking but ladies waiting were very pleasant. Parking very tight. Shower dripped all the time so had to take off bracket and lay in Bath.

Liked: Had a lovely stay at the Savoy Hotel. Much grander than I expected and everywhere so well maintained and clean. Spacious room with a view over the pool area. Delicious breakfast included. And the staff were so nice, with everyone we met being polite, friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit again and would recommend this hotel.
Disliked: One of the bedside lights wasn't working and despite reporting this, it wasn't repaired during out stay.Please be aware that most restaurants in the town close around 9.00pm. We were caught out on the first night of our visit!
