Hotel San Guido

Organised a trip to Milan...

Liked: Location was good, trams and metro were close by.

Very pleasant and great location

Liked: Very friendly staff and lovely breakfast
Disliked: Booked for a room with a balcony however did not get a room with a balcony

Sadly, avoid this hotel.

Liked: It would be a lovely stay as the hotel is an ' Albergo storico' with nice furniture + art. BUT we were given a room with a construction tower at the window. The builders started hammering and drilling at 8am the 1st morning. We explained we were here for leisure and wanted to lie in and we were told they would start work later the next day. There were no alternative rooms that night.
Disliked: We reminded the staff when we came in after our lovely night at La Scala. We were reassured. This morning we were woken at 7.45am with constant hammering. We were given apologies but when we said it wasn't acceptable after their assurances we were just given blank 'yes'. We were not pre-informed that there would be work and they should not offer this room.

Liked: A short walk to Garibaldi railway station. Staff were very helpful. The buffet style breakfast had lots of choices.
Disliked: Our shower cubicle was tiny! The traffic noise outside at night.
