Hotel Saint-Louis en L'Isle

Charming property in the heart...

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff. Location is great: right in the heart of Paris on an island in the Seine! Loved the room decor and enjoyed the balcony. Buffet breakfast was excellent and served in a stunning breakfast room.
Disliked: WiFi disconnected frequently (both in the room and the breakfast room). There didn't seem to be a way to switch off the electronic picture frame, so I had to put a towel over it to block the light.

Liked: Brilliant location, charming, great breakfast! Staff wonderful and dealing with issues not of their making very calmly… very kind and helpful.
Disliked: Very small room, unfortunately lift broken and no fan provided at a time of high heat and known fault with aircon

Pretty hotel in a great...

Liked: This hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The room was pretty and a decent size for Paris, and the bathroom was well-appointed with a fantastic shower. I love staying on the Ile St. Louis, as it's centrally located with easy access to public transportation but feels like a calm, private oasis in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of central Paris. The street that the hotel is located on has everything you need: great restaurants, coffee and ice cream places, and fun shops.
Disliked: The only downside -- and it's not the hotel's fault -- is that the air conditioning broke in the middle of a record-breaking heat wave. Thank goodness we were only on the first floor, as I can't imagine how hot it would've been on the top level. The hotel gave us a fan, and we left the windows open until the street noise woke us up, but it was still a pretty uncomfortable night. The receptionist said this had never happened before, so I would still stay at this hotel again. Just maybe not in the middle of a heat wave...

Never again

Disliked: Sleeping was impossible. Temperature outside - 37/38 degree Celsius - 28 in night (July, 1). Temperature in a small room - about 30 degrees Celsius.The central air supply was grinding the air.I strongly advise against it.

Liked: I rated the room size as great even though it’s a smaller European room, because it was plenty for us, cozy and adorable! We don’t need a lot of space. Reception was wonderful! So nice and helpful. Location is phenomenal. Will definitely stay again if we can!
Disliked: We liked it all!
