Liked: The room was beautiful. The bathroom was amazing.
Disliked: The staff was not very friendly. I asked the check in staff about how far my venue was and he seemed very put out and annoyed. Just told me that everything was within walking distance. Did not offer to help me get to my destination or help me with directions. Didn’t even ask where I was trying to get to. I didn’t encounter one friendly person. The valet people were not any friendlier than the guest check in. The hotel is gorgeous but you need to train your staff on how to interact with a customer.

Few things I dislike but...
Liked: I love the look
Disliked: The pool was closed and the spa and bar soap was left in the bathroom and no microwave

A nice stay, with caveats
Liked: The rooms are beautiful, as is the hotel itself. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. Our suite was spacious, as were bathtub and shower. The attached Spa St. Louis was wonderful. The hotel bar offers a really choice selection of local beers, as well as delicious cocktails.
Disliked: A few things were less than optimal. First: the bed pillows are *hard*. Really, really firm. Second: street noise from one side of the hotel is loudly audible inside the rooms, though there was no noise perceptible that was generated inside the hotel itself. Third: the restaurant's offerings were fine, if a bit boring; their preparation was lacking. I had smoked chicken covered in a barbecue sauce that was gritty with uncooked spices. One item had to be sent back to the kitchen twice (and then removed from the bill) due to its extremely poor preparation. Fourth: the room service ordering system shuts down if there is an event being catered by the restaurant. This is not made clear, and it would seem sensible to let guests know that room service orders cannot be accommodated during catered events. (We chose the hotel mainly because they offered room service.) Five: low water pressure, at least in our room on one of the upper floors.
