The Spotlight on Hôtel Saint-Laurent Montréal

Comfort Meets Convenience Near Montreal’s Music Scene

Modern and unfussy, Hôtel Saint-Laurent Montréal places you right in the heart of downtown Montreal. Just a 5-minute walk from Old Montreal and Chinatown, this hotel is a great base for exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods and catching shows at nearby venues like the Metropolis or Place des Arts. Rooms come with fully equipped kitchens—perfect for longer stays—and city views to soak in the Montreal skyline.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert lovers appreciate the central location, which means you can get from your room to a show in minutes—no need for long cab rides or subway trips. The hotel is in a relatively quiet part of downtown, helping you wind down after a loud night out. Late check-in (from 4 PM) and a smooth check-out at 11 AM make it easy to sleep in after a late show. Plus, free Wi-Fi and a business center help you stay connected while on the road.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a base near concert venues
  • Solo travelers catching a must-see artist
  • Couples on a weekend music escape
  • Fans wanting quiet after the noise of a show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who don’t want to sacrifice location

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no restaurant on-site, the hotel features a convenience store for late-night snacks and a gazebo with BBQ facilities for a casual bite. The in-room kitchens are a major plus for those who prefer to cook or heat up leftovers from one of the many walkable eateries in the area. Chinatown and Old Montreal are loaded with late-night food options, and you’ll find breakfast spots nearby for your morning-after cravings.

Nightlife Options

The hotel’s location gives you easy access to Montreal’s lively nightlife. Whether you're heading to a bar in the Latin Quarter, a lounge in Old Montreal, or catching a second round of live music, everything’s within walking distance. While there’s no on-site bar, the neighborhood more than makes up for it with local craft beer spots and cocktail lounges.

What People Say

Guests rave about the spacious rooms with kitchens, the clean and well-kept facilities, and the value for money in such a central spot. Many reviewers highlight the friendly staff and the ease of getting around the city from the hotel. The free Wi-Fi and on-site laundry are also frequent points of praise.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel’s style is more functional than fancy—think “simple and clean” rather than boutique chic. Others note that since it’s not a full-service hotel, you won’t find daily housekeeping unless you're staying longer. But for concert-goers, those trade-offs are easy to live with.

The Bottom Line

For music fans looking to stay close to the action without breaking the bank, Hôtel Saint-Laurent Montréal offers unbeatable location, comfort, and convenience.

Decent basic hotel in great...

Liked: Good location. It was walking distance to 2 metro stations, a grocery store and the jazz festival area. The airport bus stops in front of the hotel. The hotel was clean, had a kitchen and free laundry. The bed was comfy and sheets were clean.
Disliked: Our room was close to the garbage room so the hallway smelled a bit and there were flies in our room.
