Historic Charm Meets Musical Energy in the Heart of the French Quarter

Modern comforts blend with 19th-century charm at Hotel Royal New Orleans, a fully restored 1827 Creole townhouse tucked away in the vibrant French Quarter. Just a short stroll from Bourbon Street and Jackson Square, this boutique hotel offers travelers an authentic New Orleans experience with hardwood floors, high ceilings, and a peaceful courtyard fountain.
Perfect for those looking to soak up the city’s legendary music scene without sacrificing style or comfort.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location, location, location! This hotel is just minutes from some of New Orleans’ most iconic music spots, yet set on the quieter Rue Royal—giving you the best of both worlds. With flexible check-in from 4 pm and a generous 12 pm check-out, you’ve got time to rest and recover. Bonus: the 24-hour front desk means you're never locked out after a late night show.

What People Say

Guests rave about the hotel’s unique character and unbeatable location. Many love the mix of historic architecture and modern touches, especially the exposed brick walls and high ceilings. The courtyard is a favorite for morning coffee or unwinding after a concert. Reviewers also appreciate the friendly staff and the convenient access to everything New Orleans has to offer.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that rooms can be on the smaller side, and the historic building means there’s no elevator—so be prepared for stairs. A few reviewers noted the walls can be a bit thin, but that’s part of the charm of an older property.

The Bottom Line

If you want to be in the heart of the action while enjoying a peaceful hideaway after the show, Hotel Royal New Orleans hits all the right notes.

Comfortable stay in the heart...

Liked: Very centrally located in the French Quarter and within walking distance of all the action. Rooms very comfortable and a lovely surprise to have a bath tub with jets. It can be noisy on the streets but that is to be expected when staying in the district.
