The hotel is beautiful and clean. Very comfortable bed. I couldn't believe they charge $10.00 a night to park your car and $16.00 a night for valet parking. The room charge was already almost double the usual charge because there was an event at the Berglund Center.

Liked: The rooms were clean and comfortable; the staff was friendly.
Disliked: I don't think you should have to pay to park at a hotel you are already paying to stay at.

Liked the atmosphere but the room was very small and it was awkward to have to listen to the conversation next door. Room was very clean and beds comfortable but AC was very noisy. You asked for it :).

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Handheld shower in bathroom uncomfortable. Also no room in bathroom to put things.

Liked: Beautiful hotel to look at…staff were friendly. Ease access to restaurants and museums…Parking is decent no issues. Did move us to a different room due to inaccurate information from booking.com. The view from our room was nice (historic rc church).
Disliked: The cleanness factor could have been much better. For as much as the cost is I would expect the room to be spotless. Bathroom had mildew around the ceiling…stains around the bathroom door & wall…. Sheets had stains around the edges. The room service regarding food was subpar…food was very “cafeteria” in look & taste…the breakfast was good but not worth how much they charge to have it added into your stay. In addition, booking.com got the description of the room incorrect and attached pictures of the room were not accurate. WiFi was extremely slow. Receipt could be more accurate and easy to read….having your balance as a negative is misleading. For the overall price I’d say you’re paying for the name…because certain aspects of the stay are not up to par for such a pricey hotel.

Beautiful hotel with lots of...

Liked: The foyer is amazingly beautiful. We were greeted by name by the best concierge I’ve ever had in a hotel. He told us all about the hotels history. We ate a late dinner in the bar restaurant, fireside, and it was delicious. I wish we had more time to check out the rest of the property!
Disliked: Room was a little dated but we expected that. They are currently renovating. The bedroom was nice, but the bathroom was a little cramped and the toilet had a very weak flush.

Disliked: We've stayed at the Hotel Roanoke many times but the room we stayed in was tiny and had a view of a flat roof.We love the hotel but were not happy with our room.
