Hotel Riviera Renovated

Very good

Liked: Everything I required was there and it served my purpose well. I could see there was more development being worked on and if the standard is maintained it will be a good addition to holiday accommodation in the area

Liked: the location was great, most of the staff were really nice
Disliked: that everything was falling apart, nothing really worked and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone

2 night stay

Liked: Close to a few different metro stations so every where in the city was easily accessible. The member of staff who checked us in was lovely and so helpful, he gave us a map and explained how to get about to different places.
Disliked: I can only advise on the room I had (room 19). It was a very small room. The door didn't close properly against the door frame, even when the door was fully closed and locked. The walls are paper thin, you can hear absolutely everything, from everyone's room. We were provided with towels which some of them were dirty.

Passable

Liked: The position of this hotel is good, many metro lines serve it and there are nice restaurants and bars and a laudry very close to it. If you need to reach the northen part of the external area of Paris, Gare du Nord is at walking distance..
Disliked: The room they assigned me was very small and not matching the characteristics mentioned in my booking: anyway, they immediately changed it when I described the problem at the check-in desk: anyway, the second room was better, but still not fully matching and at ground floor, with the window in a small internal yard used by the personnel as a small deposit. None of the rooms I saw has air conditioning nor a fan, which in this period is needed. Anyway, my short stay in the second room was OK.

Liked: The bed, although two singles, when requested double,was comfortable alright.
Disliked: The place stunk so badly...lift barely fit one person and a backpack, hallways with old stinky carpet, no fridge, aircon or fan in the tiny as room! Luckly we were on 4th floor,so we could open the window. Staff ...just cordial! Shower pretty bad.. water would get super hot or super cold at its own will! We went for it as a 3 stars hotel,but honestly, hardly one. It seems to be under renovation... but a lot needs to be done!

Liked: It's absolutely wrong to measure value.
Disliked: 1/Hospitality first.2/The receptionist is not professional.3 The room and toilet are very small.

Cramped and dated room in...

Liked: Only the location
Disliked: Room was tiny and smelt, bathroom and shower I could barely move in. Far too hot with no air con. Very limited breakfast. Hotel very dated and in need of renovation - do not be fooled by the renovated title!

Exactly as I had hoped....

Liked: The room was clean and comfortable, all the staff were exceptionally nice. As a female solo traveler I felt very safe.
Disliked: The water pressure in the shower was bad.
