Liked: Monica and Roberto are fabuolus people and hosts. If you have a chance to pass nearby you should stay here. The food was homegrown and home cooked, and some of the best we had in Italy. Their hotel is stylish and very clean. I highly recommend this place for all the right reasons.

FANTASTIC.

Liked: The staff was absolutely wonderful. Roberto & Monica couldn't have been more helpful. Our luggage was lost and Roberto had a friend at the airlines that he contacted for us. He found our luggage (still at JFK). He expedited it to us before we checked out of the hotel. The hotel itself is wonderful and Monica is a fantastic chef. If you are traveling to this area we would highly recommend staying at this property!!

A hidden gem.

Liked: Monica and Roberto are the perfect hosts at Hotel Caligiuri. From the very beginning they treat you like family and continue to spoil you for the length of your stay. The rooms were perfect, immaculately clean and cool. Choices for breakfast were huge with much of the food made by Monica herself and fruit and vegetables grown by the family. We had dinner there one night and all the dishes we selected were flavoursome and beautifully cooked. Our hosts were prepared to share their love and knowledge of this area of Calabria with us. We highly recommend staying here. Nothing is ever too much for Monica and Roberto.

Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like. Their service and hospitality exceeded all of our expectations. We hope to return someday.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Caligiuri

Liked: Monica and Roberto, along with their family, were the perfect hosts for our family visit to Decollatura. The hotel and restaurant is clean, warm and welcoming, with all modern facilities. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and everything was absolutely delicious, generous and prepared with love. The hospitality at Hotel Caligiuri is a true highlight from our family's travels through Italy. As a bonus, we also enjoyed meeting some other lovely guests staying at the hotel! We will return and stay longer next time.
Disliked: Having to say goodbye!

Exceptional

Liked: Off the beaten path, in a non-tourist town where real Calabrians live. Owner Monica welcomed us and cooked us a wonderful dinner, explaining the nuances of each dish and the vegetables she grew in her garden. Absolutely delightful!
