The Spotlight on Hotel Richland LES

Stylish, affordable comfort in NYC’s buzzing Lower East Side

Hotel Richland LES is a modern, no-fuss hotel tucked into Manhattan’s vibrant Lower East Side. With clean, comfortable rooms and a location that puts you close to iconic venues, artsy hangouts, and late-night eats, this hotel is a smart pick for music lovers looking to explore NYC without breaking the bank. It’s a 16-minute walk to SoHo and less than 2 miles from some of the city's most legendary live music destinations.

Why Concert-goers love it

The location is a winner—you're just a short subway ride or taxi hop from major downtown venues, and close enough to walk to some smaller indie spots. The express check-in and check-out makes it easy to roll in late after a show and head out quickly the next day. With multilingual staff on hand 24/7, late arrivals aren't a problem. The neighborhood is lively but not too loud, offering a nice balance of energy and rest.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to catch shows and explore downtown NYC
  • Solo travelers ticking off bucket-list concerts
  • Couples planning a music-filled weekend getaway
  • Fans who want a quieter, clean place to recharge post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting downtown access without downtown prices

Food and Drink Options

While Hotel Richland LES doesn’t have an on-site restaurant, you're surrounded by late-night dining options—from dumplings and ramen to local pizza slices, all within walking distance. The Lower East Side is a foodie’s paradise, and you’ll find plenty of spots still open after midnight. Plus, there's free coffee and tea in the lobby to help you recover the morning after.

Nightlife Options

Just steps from the hotel, you'll find dive bars, rooftop lounges, and cocktail spots that stay open late. Whether you’re into intimate jazz clubs or trendy speakeasies, the LES nightlife scene has you covered. Prefer to keep it low-key? There are also chill neighborhood bars perfect for a nightcap.

What People Say

Guests love the friendly staff and how clean and quiet the hotel feels despite being in a lively area. Reviews often mention the great value for NYC, especially for travelers who just need a stylish, safe place to crash after a long night out. Many solo travelers and couples say they would stay again.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side—typical for NYC—so if you’re traveling with lots of gear, it might feel a little tight. There’s no elevator, so pack light or be ready for a few stairs. No on-site bar or restaurant, but that’s easy to forgive with so many options nearby.

The Bottom Line

Hotel Richland LES is a smart, budget-friendly base for concert-goers who want to stay close to the action but still get a good night’s sleep.

Great location... felt very safe...

Liked: Excellent location; close to East Broadway subway which connects to Uptown and Downtown destinations. Firmly in Chinatown, but close to Little Italy and SoHo. Friendly reception staff and super efficient cleaning team. Fresh towels every day, bottled water in the room every day, coffee machine with supplies refreshed daily. Room was really well cared for every day of our stay. So easy to reach so many destinations yet relatively quiet at night. Room safe is an added bonus. 25 minute walk to The Ear Inn... great old bar.
Disliked: The bed was comfy, but a bit like a bouncy castle! Shower towels could be a little bigger...but I'm really just being a bit picky.

Very good

Liked: Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. Short walk to the train. Very convenient location!
Disliked: The bed is right by the door so you can hear everything. Ear plugs will help. There was dried up lettuce and ketchup on the side table so that was gross but it was good overall

Clean, fairly comfortable, newly renovated.

Liked: Clean, they were doing renovations so there was a bit of construction going on in the Lobby but the rooms were small, but clean.
Disliked: Small rooms. Initially put us (two young girls) on the first floor. After the desk worker noticed my discomfort with it he moved us up to a different floor. Was very happy with the new room.

Superb

Liked: Great contact with the personnel. They responded very quickly to all of our needs. I appreciated that our room was ready before check in.
Disliked: I liked having a city view from the shower, although there are some drawbacks from having a window and a shade right next to the stream of water.
