Liked: Lovely location quiet rooms good facilities. The restaurant was a bit pricey but food was beautifully served presented and was a great treat.
Disliked: The room we had did not have air conditioning and the pillows weren’t comfortable. The spa was also a let down. It was lovely and quite, relaxing but it lacked in facilities

A really nice and friendly...

Liked: The rooms were quiet and well appointed. The hotel staff is friendly and the hotel is very dog friendly. The wellness area was nice. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of parking.
Disliked: Be aware that it is a 15 minute walk into downtown. On Booking.com it says that children are not welcome, this is not true but you can only book by going to the hotel's direct website.

A perfect stay in Besancon

Liked: We visited the Sauvage Hotel in Besançon for the second time this year. We booked the same suite, which can accommodate a third person. The hotel is a stone's throw from the city centre and has private parking. The room is very spacious and offers all the amenities of a luxury establishment. The staff are very attentive to all their guests. The breakfast focuses on local and varied products. A beautiful terrace allows you to enjoy a stunning view of the garden while enjoying an excellent meal. We will be delighted to return to this hotel.
Disliked: The entire hotel is non-smoking. It is regrettable to have to enjoy an excellent meal on the terrace with people who are inconsiderate of the rules and the well-being of other guests. Thank you to the management for taking note.

Nice stay after some negotiations

Liked: Great room outside of the main facility.
Disliked: First the hotel offered me the smallest chamber in the house. It did not fit the description in booking.com and was much smaller than all other rooms. After some discussions at the reception I got another room offered at a facility a few hundred meters away. It was a pleasant stay there.

Very good

Liked: The breakfast was quite good, but a bit expensive. The location was farther than expected, requiring a taxi or car to get there. However, the room was amazing, and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Liked: Great location, beautiful building, great breakfast on the terrace
Disliked: No aircon in rooms, our luxe room , which was great, only had a shower over bath, with no shower screen
