Disliked: The room was up in the eves so very cramped and difficult to reach with three flights of stairs. No lift.

Loved Strasbourg, would stay here...

Liked: The property is extremely cute, in an older, half-timbered building that is absolutely adorable. The steps can be a challenge, circular and a bit unlevel, but that added character and is expected in an older property. The bed was amazingly comfortable! Really slept well. The room was comfortable, warm but not hot, and if need be, the windows opened easily for a quick cool down. The sliding door to the bathroom did not provide total privacy, but I can see the benefit of the space it saved in a rather small room. All tv channels were in French, but no one comes to Strasbourg to watch tv. Fantastic location, with shops, bars and restaurants all close by. We did day trips to Colmar, France (30 minutes by train) and Heidelberg, Germany (95 minutes by car). The Strasbourg cathedral is from 1170 and is breathtakingly gorgeous. The Christmas markets were very festive and fun to see. The area felt extremely safe, and we saw no signs of any trouble. Most everyone was extremely friendly. The Academie de la Biere is 100 feet from the hotel and offers good food and a great selection of 15 or so beers on tap, with my favorite, Kasteel Rouge being one of them.
Disliked: My suggestion to the hotel would be to add hooks in the bathroom and offer a channel or two in English if that is possible. Those minor points aside, it was a fabulous stay in an adorable property with friendly and helpful staff located in a magical city, especially at Christmas time.

Liked: Lovely room, quaint setting and ambience.. Very clean and serviced every day. Location was excellent and within easy walking distance of markets and town centre. Good bars and restaurants nearby.
Disliked: A bar in the premises or tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice.

Charming hotel in great location

Liked: Super Location very convenient for the Christmas Markets and only a 10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is in a charming old building and has a lovely atmosphere. Our room was warm the bed was large and very comfortable. All the staff were extremely helpful and kind.
Disliked: Nothing we would recommend this hotel.
